Are you stuck in a weight loss rut? Do you try to eat right and move more yet you just cannot seem to lose the weight? If so then this article is written for you. The truth is you cannot keep doing the same thing and hope for a different result, you have to make some changes to your current routine and when you do you will find that your motivation goes up and your weight goes down. If you can spare just 2 minutes to read this article you will discover new life for your goal.

Weight Loss Rut

1. Plan a strategic cheat day. If your diet is in a rut then you might have inadvertently dropped your metabolism. When you restrict your calorie intake for too long your body adapts and slows your fat burning metabolism which spells disaster for your fat loss. The great news is that all it takes to boost your metabolism up to near normal levels is one day of overeating. Research and real-life examples show that your metabolism rises faster than your body can lay down fat and you start losing weight again.

2. Rev up your exercise. If you are spending hours on the treadmill or doing other slow steady state cardio then you need a change. You can cut your exercise time in half and get two to three times the fat burning by simply varying the intensity during your workout. Warm up for a few minutes and then ramp up to peaks of high intensity separated by short periods of low to moderate intensity. This stimulates your metabolism for the entire day causing you to burn more fat.

3. Avoid the starve/binge routine. If you tend to eat very little during the day and then overeat in the evenings you are slowing your fat burning metabolism during the day and then causing your body to turn the extra calories at night into stored fat. Space your eating out and you will work with your body's needs so your body can use the foods you give it.

If you are currently in a weight loss rut don't despair, simply follow these tips to get different and better results.
